Course outline
Marie will guide students through various approaches to drawing the figure, from the classical/ historical to the contemporary with activities aimed at developing ones eye and observational skills and improving drawing techniques.

A1 cartridge paper (10 sheets)
A3 and/or A4 sketch book
Willow charcoal
Baton charcoal (square)

Other materials will be introduced as the lessons progress.
Marie Hagerty
Marie Hagerty is an established Artist having held over 20 solo exhibitions in commercial galleries from CMAG to the Olsen gallery in New York. Marie is represented by Nancy Sever Gallery. Her art appears in numerous high profile collections around the world. She has received multiple awards and has been employed by the ANU School of Art as a sessional lecturer teaching life drawing, general drawing and painting in the Foundation, Print Media and Painting workshops for over 25 years. This is a unique opportunity to learn from such a renowned Artist and Teacher, and we are absolutely delighted to be working with Marie in 2023.
