Strathnairn Arts Caretaker
Strathnairn Arts is seeking expressions of interest from persons with relevant/appropriate skills and experience to fill the position of Strathnairn Caretaker.
Strathnairn caretaker is a live in position with accommodation included in lieu of payment. Caretaker's cottage rental appraised. $565 per week, $29,380 per annum (Sep 2025).

Reports to: Strathnairn Director
Location: Strathnairn Arts Association, Holt ACT
Appointment: 12 months Part-time with a three-month probation period. With the option to extend.
Hours of work:
Hours of work will vary depending on the candidate's level of experience and expertise, commensurate with the annual rental value of the Caretakers Cottage. up to 14 hours per week.
The Caretaker will work closely with the Director to monitor and maintain the facilities, equipment and grounds of Strathnairn Arts Association.
Key responsibility areas
Monitor and maintain equipment across the Strathnairn site, including the Ceramics & Foundry areas. Recording of power and gas usage. Monitor and stock Ceramic and Foundry materials, monitor shared services for the Strathnairn Cafe and Ginninderry (bins, gardeners, cleaners).
Coordinate the maintenance of the SAA Grounds, including undertaking simple maintenance tasks, actioning maintenance requests and managing contractors by scheduling visits and meeting on-site.
Maintain SAA Site documentation, including SAA WH&S documentation, hazardous materials register, MSDS datasheets, and safety signage
Serve as a member of the SAA Emergency Planning Committee, SAA Fire Warden, and a participant in the SAA Bushfire action plan.
