Foundry assistant

Strathnairn Arts is seeking expressions of interest from persons with relevant/appropriate qualifications and experience to assist the Foundry Manager in the daily operations of the Strathnairn Foundry on a casual roster.

The Strathnairn Foundry is for recreational, emerging, career and established artists.

Under general direction, the successful applicant will:

• Create molds

• Participate in the casting process

• Monitor correct temperatures

• Maintain foundry equipment

• Assist with running public workshops

• Other general workshop duties

• Maintain diligent compliance with all WHS requirements

Applicants are advised the role requires physical strength – you will be required to lift heavy objects and walk or stand for long periods.
