AGREEMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Bookings

  • All bookings require a completed booking form.

  • Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of completed form and an invoice issued.

  • Confirmation of booking will be sent on payment of invoice.

  • Cancellations to facility bookings must be made at least 14 days prior to the booking date. After this the deposit is nonrefundable.

Access

  • Strathnairn Arts provides access to the facilities for all day bookings from 8 am till 10 pm, 7 days a week – this enables users to set up prior to the event and to pack up after the event.

  • If you wish to use the facilities outside these hours you will need to consult with Strathnairn Arts.

  • Strathnairn Arts is zoned as a residential area under the Environment Protection ACT 1997 (the Act), and the permitted time periods and noise levels are:

    • Monday - Saturday

      • 7 am - 10 pm 45dB(A)

      • 10 pm - 7 am 35dB(A)

    • Sundays and Public Holidays

      • 8 am - 10 pm 45dB(A)

      • 10 pm - 8 am 35 dB(A).

    • NO NOISE except talking after 10pm

  • You are responsible for organising and managing your own event in consultation with Strathnairn Arts.

  • If you require additional equipment not available at the venue you must organise it.

  • You must leave the facilities as you find them and are liable for costs incurred as a result of damage to property or equipment.

  • Strathnairn Arts is not responsible for:

  1. expenses incurred by the Hirer

  2. any claims or damages made against the Hirer as a result of the Hirer’s use of the Facility

  3. injury or damage caused by unsafe practices during the period of the hire

  4. no responsibility will be accepted by Strathnairn Arts for breakages or theft Strathnairn facilities are used at your own risk.

  • Strathnairn Arts can provide our Bushfire Action Plan and emergency evacuation procedures.

  • You must make all persons involved in your booking aware of Strathnairn’s Fire and Bushfire procedures before beginning your event.

  • You are responsible for the health and safety aspects of your event and for the safety of those people involved in it.

  • Please note Strathnairn Arts is an ACT Government Site and as such there is:

    • NO SMOKING on site

    • NO DOMESTIC ANIMALS (e.g. dogs, cats or birds, are allowed on site) with the exception of Seeing Eye Dogs or Registered Companion Dogs
