Nature’s way

24 April to 19 May, 2024

Homestead Galleries
Official Opening: 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday 24 April, 2024

Nature’s Way will explore the participating artists’ solastalgia and will act as a witness to the current anthropogenic environmental degradation. By painting the beauty and fragility of nature, the artists aim to share the message with viewers that landscapes, waterways, oceans, birds, insects, animals and plant life must be protected at all costs.

Liz Hanna left a career in academia in environmental health and climate change research to begin her arts practice. Liz works in oils, acrylics, pencil, charcoal and watercolour.

Janine Gould is a self-taught artist working mostly in acrylics who explores the positive impact of the natural world on mental health.

Catherine Ellerton works across a variety of media including acrylics, gouache, pencil and charcoal. Catherine explores the natural world in her practise as means to stop, reflect, remember and share.
