You are responsible for installing the Exhibition. Installation can be arranged from 9am on the Monday preceding the commencement of the Exhibition. SAA must be advised of installation times 2 week prior to installation. Please contact the Business Manager to organise this at info@strathnairn.com.au
You must comply with the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. A copy is available for read only from SAA. Discuss the detail of anything that may cause harm to visitors in the Gallery. Work that may cause physical injury or likely to offend needs to be approved by SAA.
Wall works must be ready to hang. The installed hanging system and lighting track system will be demonstrated to you and is simple to operate. 2-D works should have D rings and hanging wire attached to the frames.
SAA is responsible for the lighting of the exhibitions.
You are responsible for the removal of all work at the end of the Exhibition, except for works sold. Works must be removed on the Monday following the close of the Exhibition or as otherwise agreed with SAA.
SAA is responsible for packaging, collection and postage of all sold works.
ACTION ITEM : PRICE LIST AND PHOTOS
(FOR THE ONLINE EXHIBITION & ONLINE CATALOGUE)
Your catalogue price list will need to be provided along with images. DOWNLOAD THE PRICE LIST TEMPLATE HERE
You are responsible for the numbering of your works in the catalogue. We produce hard copy catalogues in limited numbers (price lists), as we prefer the online catalogue which will be promoted with a QR code in the gallery for visitors to view on their phones whilst in the gallery. This is better for the environment, health and safety and also very convenient.
There are a couple of options for photographing your work for the online exhibition.
A professional photographer can be engaged at your expense, please ask us for references if needed
Photos should be at least 300DPI and approx 1MG in size. Either landscape or portrait is fine
Please name these files with the artist, name of the work, medium, size and date produced
You provide all photos for us to use
Photos should be at least 300DPI and approx 1MG in size. Either landscape or portrait is fine.
Please name these files with the artist, name of the work, medium, size and date produced
SAA can take photos once the work is hung - but please be aware that this is not professional photography. You can see previous exhibitions online to check if you are happy with the quality of this option.
Please note - we can’t photograph work behind glass in the gallery - please photograph your work BEFORE you have it framed and put behind glass!!
MARKETING
SAA will organise the following things, (in addition to our organic social media content) to support the promotion of your project, please remember that your assistance and involvement is required to make this successful.

Your campaign will be more effective if we use consistent visuals to promote your exhibition. SAA will produce and supply these materials based on the information you supply, you will have opportunities for input and to approve prior to production.
Please note - you may not use the SAA logo in any capacity without our prior approval.

OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES
-
POSTCARD DISTRIBUTION VIA SPY IN CANBERRA
Spy In Canberra is a reputable promotional distribution company who can distribute your postcards to a variety of public high traffic areas around Canberra including; busy galleries, cafes and theatres. It is an excellent way to share your exhibition with a wider audience and supports our online marketing activities.
SAA can book and co ordinate this distribution for you.
Cost : $450 including production of 2000 cards.
PLEASE ASK RACHEL FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT THIS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
-
SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING
Whilst our social media enjoys good engagement compared to many galleries you may elect to support our organic marketing with some advertising dollars placed on ads for your exhibition on our Facebook and Instagram pages for the duration of your exhibition.
This can assist in broadening the distribution of your work to a wider local or online audience.
This would be invoiced to you prior to placement of the ads: and we would recommend an investment of $70 - $100
PLEASE ASK RACHEL FOR MORE DETAILS ABOUT THIS. THIS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.
