CAROLYN FITZPATRICK | DRAWING

Wool Shed Gallery | 18 March - 18 April 2021

The theme of the exhibition is the exploration of the essence and expressive power of drawing, primarily with ink on paper. The subject matter is landscape, specific landscapes, because they have a story to tell. Research leads Carolyn to the place, but the experience of being in the environment for some time, immersed within it, drives the drawing.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I hope that my artworks attest to the power of drawing and hopefully awaken a fresh empathy for the landscape.
