Studio tenancy is available to Strathnairn members only. Membership forms are available from Strathnairn Gallery or may be downloaded from the website www.strathnairn.asn.au

All applications for studios should be submitted to the Executive Committee prior to their monthly meeting (usually the first Wednesday of the month). Applications should be in writing and should state the following:

• The proposed commencement date and conclusion (if known) of the period of tenancy.
• A description of the work you intend to undertake including developmental work, and proposed facilities usage (kilns, grounds, gallery etc).
• An indication of the furniture and equipment you anticipate bringing with you.
• An indication of your predicted usage e.g. full-time, part-time, do you have a regular assistant, etc.
• The names and contact details of two referees.

Please include a CV and photos or slides of your work to support your application.

Application process

Applications will be assessed at the Executive Committee meeting according to the information supplied, and assessed against criteria including:

• The suitability of the proposal, considering the nature and availability of the facilities
• The relevance of the proposal compared with the objectives of the Association
• The expressed willingness of the applicant to contribute towards the overall development of the Association.

If the application meets the criteria to the satisfaction of the Executive Committee, the applicant may be invited to an informal introduction meeting with representatives of the Executive Committee and/or studio holders prior to approval. If a studio vacancy does not exist, successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list and be given first offer in the event of a vacancy occurring.
