TERRAIN – Mapping Strathnairn

April and May 2013

Terrain: Mapping Strathnairn was formally launched by Robyn Archer, Creative Director, Centenary of Canberra, on Saturday 11th May 2013 at 4pm.

TERRAIN was the major centenary event at Strathnairn Arts and included land art installations and community participation on the theme of exploring the environment.  TERRAIN was supported by two artists in residence: Phil Nizette and Jennifer Jones from Wellspring Environmental Arts and Design, who constructed our bird hide, and highly-regarded community artist-in-residence Gabriella Hegyes.

Community participation in TERRAIN included community groups, the membership of Strathnairn as volunteers, and extended regional community & arts networks.
